Born and raised on the lush green farmlands of New Zealand, I was fond of taking things apart. Sometimes, I would even put everything back together again with hardly any “spare parts” left over! At 8 years old, I built my first transistor radio (inside my lunchbox) using components I ordered from America. No other kids my age had a transistor radio!
In 1969 I moved to the United States. After graduating from high school, I continued my education and worked my way up through the ranks in various electronics companies. My childhood hobby became the foundation of my budding engineering career.
